Our journey is rooted in creating a safe, nurturing place where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

From a Dream to a Trusted Tradition

Picket Fence Learning Center opened its doors in October 1993 with one classroom, two dedicated educators, and seven children. As families embraced our nurturing approach to early childhood education, we quickly expanded to meet the growing demand, laying the foundation for the trusted learning community we are today.

Growing Alongside Our Community

As more families chose Picket Fence, so did our opportunity to grow. In 2004, we relocated to our current Elmwood Park campus to better serve the community, and in 2013, we expanded again with the opening of our River Grove location. Together, these campuses have allowed us to welcome more children while maintaining the same personalized care and educational excellence families have trusted for decades.

Building the Future, One Child at a Time

Our commitment to serving local families continued with the opening of our third location in 2024. This newest campus expanded our programs to include infants as young as six weeks old, allowing Picket Fence Learning Center to support children through every stage of early development. While we’ve grown in size, our mission remains unchanged: providing a safe, caring environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.
